Beijing: Six police dogs were in an orderly queue while waiting for their turn to collect food.
Led by a black Labrador, the patient as well as intelligent dogs were seen with ears pricked and biting hold of their bowls outside a Chinese police dog training academy.
Then, they brought their plates one-by-one to get it filled with their allotted reward.
Police dogs in China are popularly known as ‘man’s best friend.
A police spokesperson said that they are handsome, having good appetite, courageous and possessive.
When they retire from service, they are taken to a special police dog home, where they are benefited from some of the best medical care available in the country.
But, despite the increased animal welfare awareness in the country, hundreds of these benefiting dogs are still being kidnapped and sold on to restaurants.
