London: In Britain, a 12-year-old girl has become the youngest mother in the country while her 13-year-old boyfriend the youngest father, following the birth of their female baby recently. The girl was studying in primary school when she conceived.
She gave birth to a daughter over the weekend and hospital sources said that both the baby and mother are in good health.
The young couple, from northern London, who posted a photo of their new arrival on-line, have vowed to stay together as a family.
The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is five months younger than the previous youngest mother in UK.
The girl’s 27-year-old mother has become one of the ever youngest grandmothers in Britain.
As per the Sun daily report the baby’s mum and dad were in relationship for the last one year. So their romance was not a fugitive one. Even now they are intending to live together and bring their daughter up together.
Both sets of younger grandparents are found to be incredibly supportive to the teen-aged parents. They are absolutely fortunate since their families are right behind them.
In 2006, Tressa Middleton, the Britain’s previous youngest mother was given birth to a child in Edinburgh at the age of 12 years and eight months.
Lina Medina from Ticrapo, Peru, was the world’s youngest mother who gave birth to a son at the tender age of five years and seven months in the year1939.
