Ottawa: A Canadian cyclist was attacked by a native goose while she was on her bike in Ottawa. Following the attack she had to spend five days in the hospital.
She was suffering from concussion, a fractured cheekbone and facial lacerations.
Kerry Surman was riding her bike when she saw a family of geese crossing the trail.
She tried to get past the geese family without interrupting them.
But unfortunately, one goose said to have misjudged her intentions and attacked.
After the attack, Surman tried to get up from the ground even though she had severe uneasiness. But she believes that her bicycle helmet as well as sunglasses have prevented her from suffering more serious injuries.
A cyclist and her husband had faced a similar situation with geese about three weeks back, but fortunately nothing had happened to them.
