Baghdad : At least 10 people are reported to have killed and 36 others wounded in a suicide car bomb attack taken place in the capital city of Iraq.
The unfortunate incident was at a popular market in Baghdad’s eastern district of Sadr city. A police official said that the blast has caused severe damage to a number of nearby shops and buildings in the locality.
No group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack till this time.
The attack is just three days ahead of the parliamentary elections in Iraq scheduled for April 30th. This is the first Parliamentary election in the country after the withdrawal of US troops in late 2011.
