New Delhi: The American Embassy School in New Delhi is not running by the US authorities. Recently, the Government of India has accused the institution for violating visa rules as well as local laws. However, the US has been in touch with India at the diplomatic level to address concerns over the Indian movements in this regard.

American authorities said that the strength of American students in the school is only about a third. The American embassy school is said to have established in the year 1952. Since then,  the school has succeeded in providing an international standard education in New Delhi for the children of diplomats and expatriates belonging to business community.

The current incident was reported weeks after the diplomatic issue aroused between US and India following the arrest and condemnation of Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade in New York.

According to US sources they are committed to express these concerns through diplomatic channels, and would be cleared by conversations at a very high level.
