New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal is getting ready to swear in as the new chief minister of Delhi as the AAP decided to form a government with the support of Congress. The party declared on Monday that it would take the support offered by Congress. This was on the basis of the referendum that they have conducted during the last five days. According to Arvind Kejriwal, majority of people in Delhi want the AAP to form a government.
In the recently conducted election AAP has secured 28 seats out of the 70 member Delhi assembly. The AAP was called to form a Government in Delhi when the Bharatiya Janata Party having 31 seats declined the offer to form the ministry since they lacked the required majority. Then the congress which has got eight seats in the election expressed their willingness to support the AAP. The Party then said that they would seek the public opinion regarding the support offered by the Congress. The result of the referendum was favorable to the AAP.
