Sydney: Clive Palmer, one of the top Billionaires in Australia has decided to build 21st century representation of the famous ill-fated ship, ‘Titanic’. He has already authorized a Chinese state-owned ship building company to fulfill his dream.
The mining billionaire told Australian media that construction of the top class luxurious ship would be starting by the end of next year. His intention is to set it ready for sail by 2016.
As per his view point, the new ship would resemble the original one in design, structure and specifications while modifying it with the updated and sophisticated technologies.
Palmer told the Australian media that he has already signed a memorandum of understanding with CSC Jinling Shipyard to construct his dream ship.
According to him, every bit of the ship would be luxurious as the original Titanic while making it qualitatively supreme with the 21st Century art, technology, latest navigation and safety systems.
The announcement came just weeks after the centenary celebrations of the sinking of the ill-fated vessel.
Titanic, the largest luxury ship in its time was hitting with an iceberg on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. The unfortunate incident was on April 15, 1912, leaving more than 1,500 people dead.
