New Delhi: As the BJP-led NDA is set to form the government in India, all eyes of Indian natives are now focusing on Narendra Modi, the next Prime Minister of India.
Modi has created great expectations among the people of the nation during his campaign trail.
His main challenges would be social as well as infrastructure developments, administrative and economic reforms, and improving internal and external security environments.
Internal security will remain as a major challenge for the new government at the Center. In fact, Narendra Modi has one of the highest threat perception.
Security for him and his immediate family members has already been tightened.
The government would have the tough task of rejuvenating agencies like NIA which were formed with much publicity after the Mumbai attacks but have failed to crack down even a single major terror case.
Cross-border terrorism will also be a severe headache as intelligence agencies are already foreseeing a sharp increase of terrorist activities, once the Modi Government came into power at the center.
Modi would require a highly capable National Security Advisor since the national security dealings are well oriented with the foreign policies of India.
Fixing responsibilities and delivering actionable intelligence among security and intelligence agencies would be another major area to be concentrated for the new Government.
