New Delhi: China wants to provide financial aid to India’s infrastructure developmental plans. Previously, such attempts were ignored by the ruling governments of India since it was a matter of concern to allow a rival neighbor to enter in to the critical areas such as telecom or power sectors of the country
But such issues have not discouraged the Chinese from making a collaborated bid that foresees its companies as well as workers getting deeply involved in upgrading India’s undeveloped rail, road and power infrastructure besides telecom.
A Chinese working group has submitted a five-year trade and economic planning cooperation plan to the Indian government in the first week of February in which a financial aid of 30 per cent is offered to the estimated investment in infrastructure during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2012-17).
