Hyderabad: Indefinite curfew imposed following the communal violence in Hyderabad is continued for the second day under Rajendranagar Police Station limits of Cyberabad Police Commissisonerate.
Three persons are reported to have killed in police firing in Kishanbagh area of Old City.
Cyberabad Joint Commissioner of Police Y Gangadhar told PTI that the curfew is still continuing even though the situation is under control.
No untoward incidents have been reported so far after the curfew is imposed.
Three persons were killed yesterday in police firing following communal clashes developed by alleged burning of a religious flag by some persons in Kishanbagh area of the Old City.
Police have ordered indefinite curfew in these areas under section 144
Large number of police personnel, including RAF and Central Para Military Forces, were deployed to maintain law and order in the violence hit areas.
After reviewing the situation, police may take a decision to relax the existing curfew period.
