New Delhi: While all are curious about the counting day of the ongoing polls in India, the Election Commissioner H S Bramha said that exit polls can be aired only after May 12.
Addressing a press conference H S Brahma said that they won’t entertain any exit polls before May 16 since there may be possibilities of re-polling.
Later he clarified that the exit polls are banned only till May 12, the last day of polling.
According to Brahma the major challenge they have faced in 2014 polls was implementation of model code. The exclamation of Bramha was on the basis of almost all parties violation of the model code of conduct during the election rallies in past few months
The election commissioner has denied the Gujarat police report regarding the rally of Modi.
He has also sought report from the Uttar Pradesh poll authorities on controversial remarks made by Mulayam Singh Yadav, Ajit Singh and Azam Khan.
