Los Angels: The 3D space drama Gravity grabbed five Oscars in technical categories while Alfonso Cuaron won his first trophy at the 86th Academy awards in the film editing category for the 3D space drama.

The best documentary feature was 20 Feet from Stardom whereas the best documentary short went to The Lady in Number 6: Music Saved My Life.
