New Delhi: Election Commission in India has said that fluke offers in the election manifesto are an absolute legal violation. During last July, the Supreme Court had asked the election commission to declare a basic lineup and framework regarding the preparation of election manifesto by various political parties in India. In connection with this, the election commission had convened an all party meeting on last August for discussing the fresh order put forth by the Supreme Court.
In the meeting, majority of the political parties participating in the forthcoming election were opposed the implementation of the Supreme Court order. But the election commission said that the Supreme Court order is to be obeyed by all the political parties participating in the coming parliament election.
