Oscar award winner Jennifer Lawrence won the Golden Globe for the Best supporting actress on Sunday. This honor was for her role as the loopy wife of a con man in “American Hustle,” The “American Hustle,” provides a frolic through 1970s corruption in New York. The distribution of the Academy Awards would be held on March 2. Lawrence gave a breathless acceptance speech during the ceremony, thanking the film’s director, David O. Russell.  She had won last year’s best actress Oscar award for David O. Russell’s previous film “Silver Linings Playbook.”
