Jakarta: Havoc floods in Indonesia have caused the death of 27 people while thousands were displaced in different regions of the country. Widespread flood in the capital Jakarta has left seven killed and about 11,000 displaced. There may be more floods in the country since the weather forecasts heavy downpours within the next two days.
Floods caused by torrential rains have forced some residents in Jakarta to vacate their homes and take shelters in government buildings, schools and other refuge centers. According to National disaster sources, as many as seven people have died after being swept away by the floods while forced 10,530 residents to live in shelters. In North Sulawesi province, the floods and landslide have caused the death of twenty people.
