Israeli Fashion week begins

Tel Aviv: The Israeli Fashion Week celebrations opened here with the presentation of Italian fashion house Missoni’s Spring-Summer 2014 collection. Its Winter 2014/15 collection has also been shown in Milan. Now both these varieties are in a set out to enter into the stores. The honorable chief guests on the occasion of the Fashion Week celebrations were Missoni’s chief designer Angela Missoni, and her mother Rosita, the founder of the company. Israel had hosted fashion week celebrations in the late 1960s and early 1970s, while the textile industry in the country was on its way to developments. But the country’s modern fashion week history was begun only in 2011. That year, two different fashion weeks took place for the first time in the country. They were Holon Fashion Week and Tel Aviv Fashion Week. In November 2013, the officials of the Tel Aviv Fashion week announced that their respective fashion weeks would take place in March 2014.
