New York: It is reported that the Afghan President Hamid Karzai has been in secret contacts with the Taliban authorities about reaching a consensus without the involvement of America and other western countries. The contacts, however, have not created any appreciable deal or negotiations with the terrorist group. But certain actions of Karzai which annoy US, indicates its development. In recent weeks, Karzai had refused to sign a long-term bilateral security agreement with the US and insisted to release hardcore Taliban militants from prison. He has also started spreading anamorphic evidence of ‘American war crimes’. Even though Karzai’s secret contacts with the Taliban have become little fruitful, the same has helped to weak the remaining confidence of the US. Hence there are high possibilities to transform the Afghanistan issues even more volatile. Meanwhile the war support in American Congress has worsened deeply and prevails an overall uncertainty regarding the American policy on Afghanistan.
