Thiruvananthapuram: Latest figures indicate that the Kerala state is on the brink of achieving 100% Aadhaar registration. Significant number of people in Kerala have collected Aadhaar numbers from the concerned authorities. Among the 3.33 crore people in the state, three crores have received the unique identification number.
According to the State IT Mission Director P Balakiran, 90 per cent of residents in Kerala have received the Aadhaar number. About 1.47 crore people in the state have collected Aadhaar numbers through the Akshaya centres.
Another 1.16 crore people have received Aadhaar cards through NPR, while 37 Lakhs have received the same via Keltron. As per the IT Mission reports, about 57 crore people in India have received the Aadhaar card.
In Kerala, the highest number of people registered for Aadhaar are from Pathanamthitta, while Thiruvananthapuram stands behind to all other districts in the state.
