The investigators had to wear respirator masks for taking these reptiles out of his house. Some held their noses closed and walked away from the five-bedroom home to have a breath of fresh air.
The horribleness of unpleasant smell was experiencing at every nook and corner of his house.
Officers said that out of the 400 snakes in his residence 220 were dead. There were also numerous mice and rats, in the Santa Ana home of William Buchman.
The house raid was on the basis of complaints received from his neighbors. He was accused for neglecting to care animals.
Authorities said that he was alone in his house. His mother, who had lived with him, had passed away few years before.
