In a shocking incident, at least four coaches of Mangala Express derailed on Friday morning near Nashik in Maharashtra. According to reports, at least four people have been feared dead while several others have been injured.Though there has been no official information on the casualties, the toll is likely to rise. The train was on its way to Ernakulam when the accident took place.The mishap took place at around 6.20 AM on Friday when 12618 Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Express train was passing through the Ghoti-Igatpuri section near Nashik of the Central Railway.
Rail-traffic on the up side was affected, forcing railway authorities to cancel various trains, including Manmad-Mumbai Panchavati Express and Manmad-Kurla-Godavari Express. Also, Sevagram Express and Rajya Rani Express were halted at Lasalgaon, said a railway official at Nashik.
