Noted dancer Mallika Sarabhai has expressed her desire to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).  She will be joining AAP later in the day by going to the party office in the city. The AAP led by Arvind Kejriwal has made an amazing gain in the recent Delhi Assembly elections bagging 28 seats.

Mallika Sarabhai’s entry to the party is not as a politician but as a citizen of the country. In 2009 national elections, Sarabhai had competed as an independent candidate against BJP veteran L K Advani from the Gandhinagar constituency and lost. For the last some years, she has been involving with the issues of oppressed and victims of the 2002 riots.
