Pyongyang: North Korea has test-fired two medium-range ballistic missiles.
It is the first launch of a No-dong missile since 2009 and it came on the fourth anniversary of the sinking of a South Korean warship.
The new launch is a developed form of the short-range rockets which Pyongyang has fired in recent weeks.
The medium range ballistic missile launch was hours after the meeting of US, South Korea and Japan in the Netherlands.
Washington and Seoul have condemned the launch since it violates UN resolutions.
The US State Department has described the launch as “a troubling and provocative escalation”.
