Ganzhou: Lu Libing a parent of two children has been trapped by the one child website in China. As per the Chinese one child policy the parents have to pay severe fine for the births of their additional children. So Lu Libing had only one choice as the birth of his third child approached. He couldn’t think about the unaffordable amount as fine that has to be decided by the Chinese authorities. So he put the unborn child up for adoption.
On the Internet he found “A Home Where Dreams Come True”, a website is known as China’s biggest on-line adoption forum. This is an unstructured industry in China
Adoption websites such as “A Home Where Dreams Come True”, were shut by the government because they were found illegal and responsible for the trafficking of new born babies.
During the raid of such organizations, more than 380 babies were rescued and 1,094 people arrested. This was on the basis of the government’s order to crack down on the illegal industry.
Baby trafficking has been found as a recurring problem in China.
Expectant couples, either unwilling or unable to keep their children, search such website looking for adoptive parents rather than abort their babies or abandon them.
An official of China’s state-run adoption agency, the China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption, said that the parents who want to give up their children could apply to the civil affairs ministry. According to them giving up of their children as per the website directions are illegal and absolutely wrong.
