Islamabad: Pakistan army has carried out multiple airstrikes over militant hideouts, killing foreign fighters. This was a retaliation to more than 40 attacks carried out against the government by the Taliban over the past months. Pakistani officials have confirmed the attacks on the Taliban terrorists in Pakistan to ‘The Blaze’. In the attack the army’s target was militant hideouts in the North Waziristan Agency. This area is governed by Taliban leadership in the tribal belt, where there are training camps for the extremists. An U.S. official told to the ‘The Blaze’ that the Taliban insurgents are in a hurry to ramp up their training and move more militants to Afghanistan, as the U.S. has been planing to withdraw troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year.
