Kula Lumpur: A malicious intention to attack foreign missions located in Chennai and Bangalore has been thwarted by arresting a South Asian suspect for terror activities. This was informed by Malaysian police.
According to Deputy Inspector-General of Police Bakri Zinin, the man is believed to be involved in a plan to attack foreign consulates in Chennai and Bangalore,
A Special Branch of Counter Terrorism Unit was arrested the man following a raid in a housing area in Kepong near Kuala Lumpur.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police Bakri Zinin said that the special unit had been monitoring the man since December last year.
Now the special Unit has been discovered that the man was involved in planned terror attacks.
The suspected has been detained under the Immigration Act for further action.
The information collected on the basis of investigation on the man was passed to Indian authorities on April 9.
In this regard, on April 29, three men believed to be the activists of terror were detained in India.
Malaysian police sources said that they will continue to work with other foreign countries to spoil terror attacks in the region as well as globally.
