Abu Dhabi: The UAE government has decided to reduce the price of life saving drugs as a New Year gift to the residents there. Thus the authorities have decided to give 205 medicines under concession rate. The government sources said that the new scheme will enable all sorts of people in the nation to purchase life saving drugs with respect to their requirements. Out of the price reduced 205 medicines, 14 are diabetic related medicines.

The health Minister Abdurahman Al O Vaiz said that the new decision was as per the discussions conducted with Health Ministry and various medicine manufacturing firms in the world. He also said that the government will be giving prime importance for the maintenance good health among the people.

The current medicine prices in UAE are declared after conducting studies on the  price variations of medicines in various foreign countries. According to the health ministry, the best method to make the life saving drugs easily available to the public is to allow high class medicine manufacturing firms to operate in UAE.
