Raipur: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and BJP stalwart Narendra Modi will address election rallies at Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-areas of Kondagaon district within a few days.
BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is expected to address the rally at Kondagaon on March 28 while the meeting of Rahul Gandhi will be on March 31.
Kondgaon is part of Bastar Lok Sabha seat where the poll date on April 10.
In a statement BJP sources said that Modi would be addressing people of both Bastar and Kanker Parliamentary constituencies at Kondagaon Stadium Grounds.
According to sources, the party has also arranged schedules for senior leaders like L K Advani and Rajnath Singh.
State Congress spokesperson Mahendra Chhabra said that Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting would be in Kondagaon.
In Chhattisgarh a three-phase polling is scheduled for the11 Lok Sabha constituencies. Naxal-hit Bastar (ST) will vote on April 10, while the polls at three other Maoist-affected constituencies (Mahasamund, Kanker (ST) and Rajnandgaon) are on April 17.
The remaining seven Lok Sabha seats comprising of Surguja, Raigarh (both ST), Janjgir-Champa (SC), Raipur, Durg, Korba and Bilaspur, the polls are scheduled on April 24.
