New Delhi: Air India has been forced to land one of its planes after the crew found rats moving around the cabin.
The plane was on its way from New Delhi to Calcutta when the staff became aware of the malicious ailment spreading by rats.
Rats on board an aircraft may lead to a disaster, since they can chew up electric wires.
In such occasions, pilots will have no control on any system on board and may lead to a disaster.
Rats have delayed a domestic flight from Mumbai by almost two hours in February this year, while in 2009 a flight to Toronto was delayed for 11 hours as staff tried to catch rats on board.
