Retired Lt. Col. Fired on civilians


Thiruvananthapuram: Police has remanded one retired Lt. Col. who had fired on civilians. Two persons who injured badly were admitted to the hospital and subjected to immediate surgery for removing the bullets. Now they have overcome the critical condition.

The retired Col. who is in remand now has been charged of murder attempt with weapons and usage of unlicensed weapons.

Earlier also, there were complaints on him for threatening people by pointing guns. On the basis of this incident, the local police had asked authorities to withdraw his license. The retired Col. was in Military Engineering Services.
