London: Samuel Eto’o’s hat-trick has helped Chelsea to clinch a 3-1 win over Manchester United last day. This loss has narrowed the hopes of Manchester United to defend their Premier League title.

Among the three goals of Eto’o, two were during the first-half and last one soon after the resumption of the second half.  This remarkable win enabled Chelsea to grab the third place with 49 points. In rating, they are two behind the leaders Arsenal while Manchester United remained in the seventh position.

After the lost match Manchester United manager David Moyes said that he has been facing a massive challenge. He wished that his team should have been in a far better position which they could not.
