Atlantic City: The Seminole Indian tribe of Florida have again shown interest in the New Jersey gambling market, since the proposal to build a casino in Atlantic City is found scrapped.
The Seminole tribe has made filings with state casino regulators through its Hard Rock franchise and fore-shown the possibility in setting out another attempt for establishing their presence.
The global entertainment company which is referred as the Hard Rock has asked New Jersey gambling regulators to clarify whether the tribe would really need to qualify for a casino license. There were rumors for months that the company has been interested in the struggling Revel Casino Hotel. This was on the basis of the sayings that the owners of the hotel have been considering to sell it.
The company’s filings have indicated its plan to seek a statement of compliance. This is a preliminary step to decide who needs to seek and hold a casino license.
