Washington: Severe cold prevailing in America has transformed the waterfalls to Snow towers. The phenomenon called ‘Polar Explosion’ is the reason behind this extreme cold weather. This forced the American authorities to abandon 2500 flights while 3400 flights were indefinitely delayed. Due to these extreme climatic conditions the Governors in Ellinoy and Oklahoma declared state emergency.

This cold wave condition has also disrupted the functioning of oil refineries in the country. This may inversely affect the supply of petroleum products in coming days. Thus the authorities fear that the shortage in the production of aviation fuel may cause difficulties in operating overseas flights. This snowfall condition  in Atlanta is extreme when compared to a duration of 44 years. Till now, nine deaths have been reported from the affected area. All schools, business establishments and government offices are remaining closed in these areas. Train services are also stopped due to these cold wave conditions.

At Eabarus and Minnesota the temperatures have come down to -37 degree Celsius. In Canada the supply of electricity is cut-off in some areas. In Modena the temperature is -50 degree Celsius. The rail tracks between Detroit and Chicago are found smeared with snow. Hence, in these areas also the train services are forced to stop by the authorities. The currently prevailing brutal chill has made US colder than Mars.
