Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew”; plus more stars from a galaxy far, far away

Plot

Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads to them becoming lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s little brothers is the same one that Chewbacca’s family follows in the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special (1978); in the cast AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022).

I’m really loving this after the first three episodes so far

I love the mix of ’80s movie inspirations and the cast meshes well together and delivers so far. Some don’t seem to understand that this was intentional and hate it, but that’s to be expected by now.

You can’t complain when it’s different and then again when it’s too similar

I love my sitcom, but it’s really cool that your kids want to watch Star Wars with you. It’s different and hasn’t been done in this universe before, so it’s also exciting and fresh.
