Washington (Reuters): Edward Snowden, the former US spy agent said that his works were independent regarding the leakage of U.S. government secrets. There were suggestions by some U.S. lawmakers that he might have received help from Russia. New Yorker magazine reported that these assumptions are absolutely baseless.
In an interview conducted by the magazine, Snowden categorically stated that the assumptions regarding the Russian spy push is totally absurd. According to him American natives are smarter than any politician and that is why he could work unmistakably for his venture.
The head of the U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee said that they were conducting investigations to see whether Snowden had any assistance from Russia in stealing and revealing U.S. government secrets.
