Star tortoises seized from Thiruvananthapuram


Thiruvananthapuram: Two persons trying to smuggle star tortoises were taken into custody by the customs officials of Thiruvananthapuram airport in Kerala. The incident is happened at about 9.45 am. today(Monday)
The star tortoises are very precious globally and the seized variety from the Thiruvananthapuram airport worth Crores of rupees in the international market. The creatures were concealed in a trolley bag for being smuggled to Colombo. No further information is received regarding this.
