Suzuki Motorcycles launches new scooter, bike

Mumbai: Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycles has launched a scooter and a motorcycle as their new products.

The company has also authorized Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra to endorse its new scooter model, while superstar Salman Khan, who has been endorsing the Japanese company’s bikes for the past two years, introduced the new motorcycle.

However the company did not reveal the prices of the new models.

The executive vice-president of Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIL) Mr. Atul Gupta said that the 110-cc scooter ‘Let’s’ falls to the personal segment while the 155-cc ‘Gixxer’ is a premium luxury bike. Suzuki Motorcycle India is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan.

According to Mr. Gupta the growth of the two-wheeler industry would result the arrival of new motorcycle companies which in turn would exaggerate the competition.

Mr. Gupta also said that SMIL would further consolidate its position in the industry through the introduction of strong products and by strengthening its distribution network.
