Rare Sri Lankan Leopards are born in France
France: It has been reported that two rare Sri Lankan leopard cubs have been born at a zoo in northern France.
According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, the rare leopard species have been classified as severely endangered and only about 700 of them are left in the wild. The cubs were born on July 1 and weighed around 2kg.
These leopards are under great threat due to deforestation as well as hunting.
