Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is on the brink of the final works on a ‘Jurassic Park’ constructed on Jubilee Hills which situated close to the Lotus Pond in the posh city of Hyderabad.
The amusement park with representations of species dating back to millions of years will be thrown open to the public in a couple of months.
The innovative feature of the park is its life size models of creatures that roamed on the earth about 150 million years ago and went extinct.
The urban biodiversity wing of the GHMC has arranged nearly 21 models of dinosaurs of varying sizes and designs, which help to recall the glory of the lost era.
The authorities have also plan to install a giant-sized dinosaur model that will be spread across 60 feet with a towering height of 20 feet.
For the construction of this spectacular ‘Jurassic Park’, the GHMC has so far spent around Rs.19 lakh.
In this amusement section, there are so many fauna models which were flourished millions of years back.
Together with this, a rich collection of flora of that period have also been inducted. According to officials, these are the plant species that are usually referred to as living fossils which have survived the ages and threats of extinction.
The city of Hyderabad is scheduled to host the forthcoming ‘Metropolis World Congress’.
For this international meet, around 2,000 delegates from across the globe are expected to arrive in the city.
So, the officials are planning to complete the rest of the works at the earliest.
To achieve this, the arrival of the remaining dinosaur models and the addition of rare flora must occur as early as possible.
