Beijing: The war words between China and the US over the disputed territories in the South China Sea have been continuing with Beijing accusing Washington for stimulating tension in the region by making unwanted comments.
China claims almost all of the South China Sea regions claimed by Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia as well as Taiwan. Earlier, the US had referred the decision of China to move an oil rig into that controversial region at the South China Sea as “provocative”.
This area in the south China sea is said to be under supremacy of Vietnam.
Meanwhile, both Beijing and Hanoi have alleged that the ships from other countries are trying to enter into this area, escalating tension in the region.
Around the same time, Philippines and China have got entangled in a latest round of dispute after Manila arrested Chinese fishermen while fishing in the disputed waters of the south China sea.
The Chinese state media has advised the government to bring the “challengers” under China’s territorial sovereignty, so that it would be an “unforgettable price” to them.
At this juncture, the China Daily has accused Japan, Philippines and Vietnam of worsening situations in the region.
According to the media they have been backed up by “malicious third parties”.
