Trans-genders are allowed to cast their votes

Hyderabad: In the ongoing elections in India, trans-genders are allowed to exercise their franchise for the first time. Usually trans-genders are forced to identify themselves as either they are man or woman. Now these group of people are given an opportunity to elect a leader of their choice without any kind of fearfulness as the ballot recognizes them as the third gender. This was following the order of the Supreme Court that awarded the community the status of a third gender.
During the past years they were facing large scale of negligence in society, but now they have started returning to their lives. According to community members, the people’s attitude towards them have changed to a great extend nowadays when compared to the 2009 General Elections in the State.
