Tokyo: The devastating typhoon Neoguri which has been moving through Japan has caused the death of two people while 30 injured.
The Typhoon has now moved north through Okinawa towards Japan’s main islands.
Weather forecasters are warning torrential rains as the typhoon could cause widespread flooding in the rivers of some areas of Okinawa.
Typhoon Neoguri which has blown in Okinawa is classed as a super typhoon and its speed being162 kph. Even though the typhoon is said to have weakened, it is still dangerous.
This typhoon has very active rain clouds and this will continue as it moves east over areas where there were severe downpours as part of the rainy season.
There are high possibilities of landslides and floods in some parts of Kyushu, even though the strength of the typhoon has been diminishing.
The two nuclear plants in Japan are on Kyushu while another on nearby Shikoku island.
