Women not suitable to operate fighter planes


Kanpur: Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha said that women are physically not fit to operate fighter Air Craft.
He was answering to questions on why women in Indian Air Force are not allowed to fly fighter planes while they have been allowed by the Air Forces of Pakistan and China.
According to him flying fighter planes are really a challenging job and women might face problems while operating fighter planes because they are physically not suitable to meet the requirements of the job.
He was speaking to reporters during the sidelines of a function at Kanpur.
Regarding the capability of Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha said that they have been giving better training to fresh Air Force men before bringing them on to the field.
