USA: World’s tallest and fastest drop ride sent up its first riders into the sky on Independence Day and subjected them for a free falling down to ground in less than 10 seconds. The top location from where the falling started was Taller than Big Ben and double the size of the Statue of Liberty.
Three soaring towers each with eight-person gondolas, opened the blast ride from a height of 415ft into the air in just 30 seconds.
It then paused for a few terrifying moments at peak so that viewers could catch a glimpses of the actions of the Philadelphia Skyscrapers from 52 miles to the south, before falling back to the ground.
The downward ride was with the same speed as a female cheetah which is considered as the fastest animal in the world during her run to chase her prey.
The drop ride path was built with 5,551 feet of wire rope and 2,490 feet of guide rail. If they laid end-to-end, their height would be taller than the Eiffel Tower stacked on top of the Empire State Building in New York.
The ride with twice the size of the Statue of Liberty, is the latest attraction at six flags great adventure theme park in New Jersey, USA.
