Cine actor Aamir Khan has expressed his desire to make a movie on Maulana Azad. He said that the message of his iconic film ‘3 Idiots’ was the same given by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.

‘Just do what your heart says’ – this was the message that Azad actually conveyed to his uncle Naseer Khan.  Ironically, that too was the message of Aamir Khan’s film ‘3 Idiots’. According to him the director Naseer Khan would never have been in the film industry, if he had not got the aforesaid advice from Maulana.

Aameer Khan said that the reason behind his father’s arrival into film industry was his uncle. If his father had not been into films, he would have been somewhere else today.  Aamir Khan was talking after the inauguration of the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival.

He said that some day he would be able to use his art to make a film on the life of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azzad. He categorized this matter as his dream.
