Jeddah: An old Saudi Arabian woman who had met her requirements by begging on the streets, has been reported to have died leaving behind a secret fortune worth million dollars. It is said that these fortune sources comprise of gold coins, jewelry, buildings etc.
The beggar was a blind woman and when died her age is assumed to be 100 years. She had been begging in the streets of Jeddah for over 50 years.
Ahmed Al-Saeedi, who grew up with the beggar woman Eisha, said that she did not have any relatives except her mother and sister, who were also beggars. After her mother and sister died, she would have inherited their property and thus increased her wealth.
Al-Saeedi said that he had advised her to give up begging when he came to know that Eisha was a millionaire. But she refused to do so said that she has been preparing for hard times.
Several families who have been living in Eisha’s properties claimed that the old woman had never collected rent from them.
