New Delhi: In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections conducted in the five states, BJP grabbed all seats in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan defeating Congress. At the same time in Delhi the debutant Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) displayed a spectacular show.
This defeat was really a humiliating effect for the Congress who got expelled from these three places. They got only eight seats and moved down to the third position. In Rajasthan and Delhi where congress is ruling, the party got only 10% seats. BJP MP Smrithi Irani said that the anti-congress waves started blowing against the top leaders of congress. According to her, this election result is not only because of the bad policies, corruption and inflation prevailing in the country but also the voices against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul.
BJP s best performance was in Rajasthan where they came into power after five years grabbing 162 seats among 200 allowing Congress to satisfy with only 21 seats.
In Madhya Pradesh the party won 166 seats among the 230 seats in the assembly.
