Islamabad: A French restaurant, running in noble environments in the country, was raided and shut down by the Pakistani police following a public outcry over its policy. Natives of Pakistan were not allowed to enter in to this in this restaurant. The cooking and foods served in this restaurant were absolutely in French style. Wine and pork menus were served there.
The controversial policy of the restaurant was a controversial matter on various social media networks. Many of them compared the policy equivalent to apartheid and the notorious British colonial boards appeared outside clubs in India during the British reign.
The thrust against the restaurant was started by Cyril Almeida, one of the senior journalists working with a leading Pakistani daily. He was in war against the French restaurant through Twitter
The restaurant-owner Philippe Lafforgue had wrote to him saying that he would be changing his policy. But, Lafforgue still continued to bar Pakistanis.
