New Delhi: The central government has been thinking to remove all unmanned level crossing gates by constructing either new over bridges or under bridges. But the main obstacle for this plan is lack of fund. So they are planning to find the revenue required for this purposes by the implementation of security surcharges in train tickets. As per this, they are proposed to remove all unmanned level crossing gates within five years. This matter had been discussed in the recently held Railway Board meeting where they put-forth two suggestions. One was to enforce security surcharges in train tickets and the other to burden the whole expenses by the central government.
