Pyongyang (North Korea): A 23-storey apartment building under construction in Pyongyang is said to have collapsed badly. Not less than hundreds of people feared dead or seriously injured in the unfortunate incident. According to North Korean officials it was an ‘unimaginable accident’.
North Korean officials made public apology over the collapse of the building. Among those who have offered a lengthy public apology is the Minister of People’s Security, Choe Pu il. However, senior officials have stepped forward to shoulder the responsibility of the miserable collapse.
It is highly unusual for the secretive nation’s capital to publicly announce negative incidents. Meanwhile, the news agency has not mentioned the cause of the collapse.
