Kolkota: Football league in India has been promised a cash injection by former cricket legends and cine stars from Bollywood. Added to it was a touch of Bollywood glamour, India’s finest opening batsmen in cricket Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly have decided to provide technical inputs from Atletico Madrid, the Spanish league’s team of the season.
The kind of financial commitment needed from each of the eight franchises in the first year would be around Rs.35 crore.
While the football in India is running with an annual budget of Rs.40 crore. But the Indian Premier League, would have no official international recognition.
